Waffle Time!

I never thought that one day I would be the proud owner of a waffle maker.  Not only is it a waffle maker though, it's a circus waffle maker!  I love the tiny elephant, monkey and giraffe that come out of the machine, just a little deformed, but totally delicious! I originally bought Mo's Bacon Chocolate Chip Pancake mix for the maiden voyage, but upon reading the very detailed instructions I figured it would be best to stick with my good ole blueberry mix.  If I ever work up the courage to make the bacon chocolate chip pancakes I'll let you know!

Ugh...

I know I sort of disappeared for a week, sorry about that!  So much has been happening though!!!  Last Wednesday my dearest friend Sarah and her boyfriend Douglas came to visit (I'll post pictures of our craziness soon) and then Sunday was Leanne's last night in Austin before she moved to Albuquerque!  On top of that, I've been searching for my next apartment in what is turning out to be a very competitive rental market and getting very frustrated.  I know something will turn up soon, I'm just so ready to find out where my next place is going to be!

Making things...

Decided to make my own duvet cover when I realized it would save me about $20 and I could have a fun fabric instead of the lame expensive ones in stores.  Luckily Robert was around to help me out when I needed it, I forgot how hard it is to work with such large pieces of fabric!
