Saturday Morning Special

Join the Fellow Believers

leaves fall slowly from growing trees
wings flap quickly on bumble bees
drink in knowledge at every turn
stress shouldn't be of your concern
worry not what you can't control
be with friends who will console
when trouble stops rearing it's head
wake up with joy and not with dread
change your life and status quo
rise above, never fall below
alter your emotions to feel great
uneasy surroundings is not your fate
approach happy thoughts with simple zeal
choosing the ones that best appeal
to your state on top of cloud 9
galaxies are bound to intertwine
by the time you reach that blissful state
the world won't make you forever wait
gaining ground on the downward hell
cracking you out of that turtle shell
releasing into a flying wonder
of a sky that is being slept under
humans by the billion share in this
thousands more are sure to insist
perception is what makes it all worth
alleviation progressing since your birth
happiness is the easiest emotion
no wonder it causes so much commotion

Guest Blogger: Leanne the Aspiring Librarian

What the?

Working at a bookstore allows you to flip through some wonderful books, some terrible books, and some very very strange books. I shelved a book entitled "'Tis in Me Ass" yesterday and I'm still scratching my head. It took about two hours for my laughter to subside.

I have no idea what the significance of this title is, because the book appears to be a biography. But as it turns out, it can be an answer to many questions.

Q. Do you have Bill O'Reilly's new book?
A. Sure do! 'Tis in me ass!

Q. Can I have a bookmark?
A. Absolutely! 'Tis in me ass!

Q. Boss, I can't find my paycheck.
A. That's because 'tis in me ass.

If anyone can explain how this title makes any sense, I'll give them a cookie (but I have to warn you, 'tis probably in me ass).

On the Board

Robert and I have a chalk board right outside of our kitchen.  Sometimes we'll write out the dinner menu, but most times we'll write love notes to each other.

Saturday Morning Special

Dainty Librarian
There are no books involved
No place where people go to read
she is a special librarian
one who is trying to succeed
in a place she feels comfortable
being creative to get by
her skill is definitely polished
you can she it in laser cats eyes
check out her totes and shirts
decorated in her own personal way
much like her websites flow
she sells you on the display
appreciate the time put in
starting this business venture
the risk she took on herself
developing this special adventure
her dog isn't real, but stuffed
her cat really shoots laser beams
notice the onesies for sale
and you'll get her humors extremes
her store can be seen worldwide
viewed by those with great style
make sure you get some merch
watching as everybody smiles
at that creation with pizzazz
you can wear as a centenarian
or as a toddler with moxie
created by the dainty librarian

Thanks for the sweet poem brother!

A letter from the past

Dear FutureMe,
Happy 1 year anniversary!
I hope that Dainty Librarian Clothing is still alive in thriving. Are you still living in Austin. When you were writing this letter you were very unsure of what the future would bring.

Well, first of all, don't give up on yourself. You are amazing and talented and people will take notice. You make have doubts at times, but you shouldn't.
As far as the store goes, don't forget to plan ahead! Prepare for cyber monday and the holidays by advertising ahead of time. Continue to create.
