I'm famous!

Ok not really, but this is pretty awesome.  Robert and I did little photo shoot with his cousin, Michael Samaripa of InnerLightCreations, over the weekend.  Now I can be a little awkward in front of the camera, but Mike did a great job of making me look good!  Check out his blog post for more details on the shoot.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Here are some more portraits that I whipped up a couple weeks ago that didn't make the cut the first time around.  I love playing with different textures and layer styles in Photoshop.  The possibilities are endless!  Maybe the next batch will have fun destinations!

You can't sit there and look scared...

I was totally inspired by the pictures I found last Sunday night so I decided to have a little photoshoot...and then I got a little crazy with Photoshop.  So much fun!  I think these turned out rather well, maybe I'll get comfortable in front of the camera one day.

Walking on Water

Zilker Park has a lovely little aquarium/science center that shows the affects of the springs and where the water flows when it rains.  My favorite part was the giant neon map that glowed under a blacklight.  The exhibit is rather small and I don't think most Austinites know about it, but it's right between the restrooms so it's hard to miss.

You Really Can't Escape Christmas

It is everywhere.  In the stores, at your coffee shop, in your music, in your house, (maybe in your spirit).  I feel like Christmas should have come and gone already based on how long Christmas decorations have been out.  I think most of them are collecting dust already.  It seems that the weather in Austin finally got the hint and tried a little harder to emulate what December should like look.  Cloudy, cold, but still lovely.  Even though I'm not always able to get into the Christmas spirit, I do love winter.  I found these lovely pictures by Miranda Lehman that perfectly capture a wintery world I would love to live in.
